I’ve just wrapped on a launch film for the futuristic Western Concourse building at the new King’s Cross Station. Working with exec producer Paul Gowers at Wilder Films and editing at TVC Soho, I wrote and directed the short documentary that will show at the launch event today hosted by Kevin McCloud and attended by Boris Johnson and other members of the team behind the dramatic new western concourse building. Excerpts of the film will be subsequently made available for online and TV broadcast.

The film takes an arts doc approach, telling the architectural design story behind the construction of the new building, using a blend of stylised, motion control timelapse footage, CGI, macro photography and dramatic crane and dolly shots of the finished building.

Special thanks to Robert Hollingworth for his excellent DP work, editor Jon Coutts and Simon Cowell’s very own favourite colourist, Mr Jack Jones at TVC Soho.
