I shot and directed the broadcast behind-the-scenes documentary for David Attenborough’s new film for Sky 1, Natural History Museum: Alive.
In the ground-breaking film, Sir David takes the viewer on a journey through the world-famous Natural History Museum in London in a captivating tale of discovery, adventure, and magic, where 3D technology, state-of-the-art CGI, science, and research combine to bring the museum’s now long-extinct inhabitants to life to discover how these animals once roamed the planet. As the doors are locked and night falls, Attenborough stays behind and meets some of the most fascinating extinct creatures which come alive in front of his eyes: dinosaurs, ice age beasts, and giant reptiles.
Making David Attenborough’s Natural History Musuem: Alive will be broadcast on Sky 1 on 4th January at 7.35pm
Filming complete on The Rules of the Game
I have just finished filming on The Rules of the Game – a horror/comedy feature film set in the Andes about a group of five friends on a stag weekend that goes horrifically wrong as secrets between the boys are slowly unravelled. The film stars Charlie Bewley (Twilight, Like Crazy), Jack Gordon (Fish Tank) and Jack Doolan (Cemetery Junction) and was filmed entirely on location in the foothills of the Andes near Salta, Argentina.
We were lucky enough to work with one of Argentina’s top DOPs, Lucio Bonelli, whose most recent film, Everybody Has a Plan, stars Viggo Mortensen in his Spanish language debut.
It’s been an amazing few months working with an incredibly talented cast and crew – thanks in particular to Georgina Edwards for her incredible producing work in bringing the whole film together. Looking forward to the edit!
BMW ‘Ideal World’ Filming in Munich
I wrote and directed BMW’s ‘Perfect World’ brand film, shooting in Munich, Germany. Working closely with the team at BMW’s Munich headquarters and UK production company, Pursuit, we shot the film in three days in a variety of locations around the city with UK actors and a largely German crew.
It was a particular pleasure to shoot with award-winning Moscow-trained DOP, Philip Robertson, whose work includes The Wolfman for Universal Studios and You and I directed by Roland Joffe (The Mission, The Killing Fields).

With some big storylines hitting the screen this month, it’s been a really exciting time to be working on the show – eps I worked on should be out in August, so please tune in then…
New King’s Cross Station launch film
I’ve just wrapped on a launch film for the futuristic Western Concourse building at the new King’s Cross Station. Working with exec producer Paul Gowers at Wilder Films and editing at TVC Soho, I wrote and directed the short documentary that will show at the launch event today hosted by Kevin McCloud and attended by Boris Johnson and other members of the team behind the dramatic new western concourse building. Excerpts of the film will be subsequently made available for online and TV broadcast.
The film takes an arts doc approach, telling the architectural design story behind the construction of the new building, using a blend of stylised, motion control timelapse footage, CGI, macro photography and dramatic crane and dolly shots of the finished building.
Special thanks to Robert Hollingworth for his excellent DP work, editor Jon Coutts and Simon Cowell’s very own favourite colourist, Mr Jack Jones at TVC Soho.
