BRINGING DOWN JAMMEH (1 x 50', BBC News) Rogan Productions

Executive Producer
In 2016 Gambians showed the world the power of democracy when they removed longtime dictator, Yahya Jammeh, through the ballot box. Yet there now are concerns the new President, Adama Barrow, may also try and cling to power. Featuring interviews with both the new president – and those who now oppose him – the film explores the challenges Gambia faces in escaping the shadow of its dictatorial past.

I exec produced, scripted and ran the edit for this film for BBC Africa Eye. The role involved careful journalistic negotiation of sensitive subject matter – including human rights atrocities – with complex, often conflicting narratives.
