David Attenborough's Great Barrier Reef
Additional Photography (main show),
Director (1 x 60′ Behind the Scenes)
I both shot and directed the making-of for this BBC 1 series and filmed much of the footage for major sequences in the main show.
The first block of shooting involved island-hopping with Sir David as we travelled across the reef aboard a state-of-the-art research vessel, the Alucia – a trip culminating in a record-breaking submersible dive to the very bottom of the reef.
I returned to the reef six months later on a solo trip where I filmed footage for one of the major sequences in episode 2, centring on one of the most charismatic visitors to the reef – dwarf minke whales.
