‘A crystal-clear documentary…This is a sobering story, told with skill and compassion, and it is a compelling and devastating account.’ – ★★★★★’

The Guardian

Executive produced by Oscar-winner, Steve McQueen. I edit produced this documentary (directed by Lyttanya Shannon) exploring how black children in the 1960s and 70s were disproportionately sent to schools for the so-called ‘educationally subnormal’. The film tells the story of one of the biggest scandals in the history of British education, meeting the parents, teachers and activists who joined forces to expose the injustice and force the education system to change.

‘Precise and professional journalism, fuelled by an anger that was never permitted to overwhelm the facts. ★★★★’ – Daily Mail

‘A powerful documentary ★★★★’ – The Times

★★★★ – The Telegraph
